Premier Recap - May 1st, 2013

11-Under:
The So Cal Titans and OC Bulldogs both advanced to Sunday 2-0.  Their final Pool Play game on Sunday was against each other, so they knew that they would be seeing each other in the Championship game regardless of the outcome of the first game.  The OC Bulldogs won the first matchup between the two teams.  They turned around and played game two of a double header, but this one was for the Championship.

The Titans saved their magic for the Championship game though.  Despite only scoring one more run than in their first match up, their pitching and defense was on point, holding the Bulldogs to only 4 runs after giving up 13 in their first match up.  The Titans buckled down when it mattered and took home 1st Place.

12-Under:
The So Cal Bearcats and Metro Trojans had to wait an entire weekend to find out who would come out on top.  After tying 2-2 in the first game of the weekend, they would meet again in the Championship game to take care of unfinished business.  After their tie, both teams won their next two games, easily cementing them as the 1st and 2nd Seeds, and with just two runs separating the Runs Allowed total, it's easy to see why they tied in their first game.

Unfortunately for the Trojans, by the time they made it to the Championship game, their bats were getting tired, and they only managed to score 1 run while the Bearcats were swinging their bats the best all weekend, putting up nine runs winning the tournament.

13-Under:
Only one run allowed separated the 1st Seed Pomona Titans and 2nd Seed Adrenaline Shock headed into Sundays games.  After both winning low scoring 1-Run Semi Final games, both teams advanced to the Championship game.

What started off as a close game was broken open when the Pomona Titan's bats caught fire.  They scored 11 runs, allowing them to win the Championship, and even more impressively, improve them to 14-0 in their last three tournaments.  They're playing again in Bat Wars, can they keep the streak alive?

Thank you to all the teams that played in the 2013 Premier.  Here is a list of the Champions and Runner-Ups
