9-Under - Recap information provided by Temecula Crush parent, Jake.
The Temecula crush went undefeated in five games on their way to winning the 9u Firecraker championship. In a true team effort, everyone on the Crush provided support in their own way.
They had some great starting pitching the whole tournament from Michael Rodda, Jake Ledford, Carstens Mamaril, Lucas Casey, and Brady Jones. Working hard behind the plate in the heat were Aidan Salcedo and Zach Anderson.
The Crush offense was as hot at the temperature scoring 70 runs in the 5 games. The Crush offense had some big blasts from Brendan Shanahan, Aidan Salcedo, and Josh Heaton. They received some timely two out hitting from Jon Paino and Robert Besanson.
It truly a team effort getting contributions from all 11 team members. In just their second tournament of the season, the Crush took home a commanding 1st Place victory
11-Under:
Coming into a travel ball tournament as a brand new All Star Team can be unnerving. Having a group of players who have just started to become a cohesive unit on the field going up against hardened and well practiced Travel Ball teams can often result in mismatches.
The TABB All Stars weren't one of those teams. Coming out on Saturday and scoring 16 runs on much more experienced teams, TABB showed that they were a force to be reckoned with.
Not slowing down their bats or buckling under the pressure, they were able to come out on top in their semifinal game, despite giving up 6 runs. Winning 8-6, they advanced to the finals where they would have to face the fellow undefeated 1st Seed. Not backing down or changing their approach, they put up the exact same score as in the semifinal game, giving them an 8-6 Championship victory in their very first tournament.

Premier Athletics 10U won the 2014 USSSA Firecracker NIT Gold Bracket on July 6, 2014.
The team scored 36 runs in three games and limited its opponents to a total of 9. Premier’s pitching trio of Gilbert Lopez, Ona Dominguez and Nick Tassielli lead the charge on Sunday with a shutdown performance. The offense was lead by power hitters Ivan “Panda” Barragan 563, Nick Tassielli .688, Chris Sanchez .563, Gilbert Lopez .688, Ona Dominguez .643 and new member Alexis Meza who hit a whopping .769 for the two day tournament. Alex Dolan hit a game tying Home Run in the 4th inning of the championship game which turned the tide and allowed Premier to pull away and win the game.
Each and every player contributed greatly to the success of the team’s victory this weekend. Next up World Series West Covina.
12-Under Blue - Recap written by Hustle Manager, John MoralesThe “Firecracker Tournament”, in So-Cal, on July 5th / 6th, nothing more American then baseball on the July 4th weekend with family, friends, and Teammates!
12U Hustle Baseball Club, this was our first tournament, (as a team), playing at a Baseball first /USSSA tournament. As the team manager for the 12U Hustle BBC, I want to thank / congratulate the families, coaches and players for their hard work this past weekend, (especially celebrating America on July 4th, and then coming out to play baseball the next day).
12U Hustle Baseball Club, it was slow start with our bats but our discipline hitting, pitching and defense kept us in the games. 12U Hustle BBC had some great timely hits as well some great defense plays as a team. Our pitchers kept their pitch counts low and did very well on the bump to eventually help our team climb to the end.
As the Hustle BBC organization is working to expand in /and around our city, with all age groups, to help players play their best and move on to the next level. The Hustle organization has strong belief on pitch counts; as well the type of pitches thrown, this weekend has proved the benefits of that belief, by keeping young arms strong, just not for today but as they continue moving on to the next level.
On behalf of the Hustle Baseball Club, we want to thank Baseball First /USSSA, for this opportunity to play in a well-organized tournament, “Firecracker Tournament”, in So-Cal, on July 5th / 6th .
