9-Under:
In possibly the hardest road to the finals, the NLB Waves did what they had to do to stay alive. After going 1-3 in Pool Play, the NLB Waves entered the playoffs as the 5th Seed. Stuck in the visitors dugout throughout the playoffs, the Waves got to work putting runs across the plate and found a way to win. In their Quarterfinal game, they outscored their opponent 9-8 to move to the Semifinals.

The Groundhog Recap
10-Under:
In their first matchup of the tournament, the Torrance Tribe and IHN Warriors were locked in a dead heat that culminated in a 6-6 tie. Sunday afternoon found the evenly matched teams up against each other yet again.
In what could be called a continuation of their first matchup, the Tribe and the Warriors continued their hard fought battle from Saturday in Sunday afternoon. The two teams battled back and forth until the Tribe was finally able to get the upper hand in an 11-10 victory.
11-Under:
The first time the Easton Canes and Easton Elite met in Pool Play ended with a decisive victory for the Canes. Less than 24 hours later, the outcome wouldn't be nearly as one sided.
With the two teams facing off in the Championship game, the Canes had their bats stifled. After scoring 34 runs in their first three games, they were only able to bring two runners across the plate. However, the defense of the Canes rose to the challenge. The old saying, "Offense wins games, but defense wins Championships" rang true in this game. Despite only scoring two runs, the Canes held their opponents to just 1 run, giving the Canes the victory and the 1st Place finish.
Thank you to all the teams that played in the Groundhog. Here are your Champions and Runner Ups.
